One of Burbank’s greatest attractions is the Starlight Bowl. Events here are usually high-energy performances, musicals and live concerts. There is a strong emphasis placed on community theater and programming. This venue can be found in the Verdugo Mountains. This outdoor entertainment center offers scenic views, a convenient spot in the city and comfortable stadium seating. Summer is the busiest time of year for the stadium. What can you expect to find this month? Theater, music and performance, just as the Starlight presents every year!
What are some of the events happening at the Starlight Bowl? Recent events have included concerts by Stone Soul, Adbacadabra, and Fantastic Diamond. Little River Band and Element Bad heated things up in July. For August, expect some dynamite performances by Terri Nunn and Berlin as well as the Spazmatics.
Perhaps the largest event of the season will be a performance by the Fab Four. No, two Beatles haven’t mysteriously come back to life. Instead, the Fab Four have been recreated in a Beatle’s Tribute concert. This production pays close attention to musical and costuming detail. Performances by Beatles imitators are said to be “uncanny.” August closes out with “The Answer” an exciting Classic Rock band that fuse sounds and styles together to create brilliant new pieces.
Tickets for these events can be purchased online or at the Community Services Building on North Third Street on the third floor. Visitors can also buy premium tickets and season tickets, though these purchases are not available online. The Burbank Starlight Bowl has been in business every summer since the year 1992. It has earned a reputation for its wonderfully postmodern location and its big name musical guests.
