Name Your Dreamer Contest

Burbank, CA - Do you know someone who has made a difference in Los Angeles or in the Southern California area? If you do, you could help them win a $100 gift certificate to The Grove.

Send the Autry National Center your nomination for why you think your "Dreamer" should be named "LA's Dreamer Who Has Made a Difference." Harry Chandler's photographs, now on view at the Autry, are a result of his fascination with the extraordinary men and women of Southern California and Los Angeles who followed their dreams and achieved inspiring results.

They are looking for the next generation of California Dreamers who have made a difference. Submit your nomination here by writing a short description (no more than 120 words). You can also include a photo, if you wish.

Be creative in your choice of dreamers - they can be friends, relatives, neighborhood figures, celebrities - anyone you like, as long as they have played some part in the life of Los Angeles. Make sure you say why why these people are so special. What were their dreams? How have those dreams affected you, your family, your neighborhood, or Southern California! Enter the contest online

The top three “Dreamers who have made a Difference’ will be determined by a panel made up of Autry National Center representatives and the winners will be announced on January 1, 2010.
