Experience Four Blocks of Creative Excitement in Burbank, Animation Capital of the World
BURBANK, Calif. -- Downtown Burbank will be packed with special effects artists, street painters, and more than 100 established artists from such disciplines as painting, photography, and sculpture on Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Downtown Burbank Arts Festival will take place outdoors on four blocks of San Fernando Boulevard between Angeleno Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard, and is free and open to the public.
As part of the festival, the Creative Talent Network will present the CTN Road Trip, with top visual effects artists, illustrators, character designers, and storyboard artists. Offering a rare opportunity to purchase artwork and interact with animators whose contributions are found among the highest grossing animation films of all time, CTN is also hosting a free "Doodle Run.” Participants are asked to get their maps and Doodle art pages at booth B34 on the Angeleno block. They will then seek out and meet the artists, getting a special “doodle" from each one. Once completed, there will be a raffle for a chance to win such prizes as exhibit passes to the CTN Animation eXpo happening November 18-20, 2016, Star Wars trilogy DVD sets, and more. Every participant can keep their Doodle Art as a souvenir, and will receive one free CTN Animation Expo sketchbook program upon completion.
