Victory Theatre

According to Travis Holder of Entertainment Today, “the Victory Theatre is one of the bravest and most prolific producing theater complexes in Los Angeles." This strong endorsement of Victory Theatre Center is evidence that the mission of Tom Ormeny and Maria Gobetti, who founded the threatre in 1979, is driving the growth of the theatre and its reach in Southern California.

The Victory Theatre Center hosts two theatres (The Big Victory 99 seats and the Little Victory (48 Seats). Long one of the most successful theatres in Burbank (29 years), just in 2008, The VTC garnererd 12 Critics Choice Rave reviews for Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsey Abaire, 8 for Taking Care by Rebecca Gilman, and 10 Critics' Choices for The Glory Of Living - which was also nominated for Best Play of The Year by the LA Weekly. All of these plays won Ovation nominations for various actors who were in them. Following that tradition, the West Coast Premiere of the musical My Old Friends is in its 3rd extension - having opened in June. This theatre cherishes and cheers it's audience with plays that are fun, deep, and entertaining. We also have a bi-monthly film festival – The Best of Fest – which brings you innovative and new films every other Wednesday Night.

When the theatre was founded in 1978, the main objective was to give the community thought provoking and entertaining live theatrical experiences. By performing well-produced plays in a small theatre environment, Victory is able to offer audiences a unique experience they can't find elsewhere. Victory Theatre Center specializes in American theatre, both from well-known playwrights and those who are up and coming.
