Valley Park is a city-owned and managed skate park, that is perfect for skateboarders of all skill levels. The concrete bowls and jumps are host to year-round events and competitions. Although the park is publicly owned by the city of Burbank, a permit and parental signature is required to skate. Helmets and pad are required for all skateboarders.
Valley Park is located in northwest Burbank, California, in close proximity to Burbank' Bob Hope Airport. Busy skateboarders seem to have found their perfect haven, a safe place for family and junior boarders to safely enjoy pool ramps and lip challenges. Kids can grow their skills or pick up skate boarding tips from more experienced skaters at Valley Park. This is a city-operated skate park.
Previously, Valley Park contained little league baseball diamonds, but now the fenced in open view skate area can host many different types of skateboarders, all busily intent on catching the next perfect ride. Helmets and pads must be worn by skaters at all times, as the pool lip style edges of the skating area and ramp composition are made of concrete and can be dangerous.
All skaters at Valley Park must be registered and have a parent-signed waiver on file in order to skate at the park. City staff from the Parks & Recreation Department screen admittance. Annual passes are available at the skate park and are valid for a year. Community events in Burbank happen at Valley annually to promote safe skating awareness.
