Theatre Banshee

Founded in 1994, Theatre Banshee is a non-profit professional theatre company that has produced many great shows, specializing in the plays and playwrights of Ireland, and focusing on shows that create drama to illuminate humanity. The theatre was formerly known as the Gene Bua Theatre.

Believing that live theatre is a vital part of the cultural landscape in which we live, Company founders Sean Branney and Leslie Baldwin set out to create live theatre which excites, engages and entertains audiences. We believe theatre is a vital part of our cultural landscape, and we're dedicated to making outstanding productions accessible to all.

Today the group is made up of individuals invited to become members of this organization. The members help to sustain the operations of the company, primarily by donating their time producing and acting in the shows, as well as working with audience development. Cast of Theatre Banshee shows are primarily selected from their membership, and they typically produce three full shows annually.

The Theatre Banshee venue is also available to rent for movie screenings, concerts, classes, auditions, and other small gatherings. Contact the theatre for more details and rental rates.
