Shanna Warren To Be Honored As Burbank's 2012 Woman of the Year

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area is proud to announce that Shanna Warren, Chief Executive Officer, The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, has been selected as “Burbank’s Woman of the Year” for 2012. The “Woman of the Year” is an annual event sponsored by Zonta to honor exemplary women in Burbank who make outstanding contributions to our community.

The Zonta Club of Burbank Area will honor Shanna Warren at its annual Woman of the Year Luncheon, Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank at 11:30 a.m.

Warren’s career with the Boys & Girls Club began 11 years ago when she volunteered in the club’s Learning Center. At the time the club had one site serving 75 youth a day. In 2004, Warren became CEO and has grown the organization to 19 locations serving more than 1,700 youth a day.

Warren is a tireless volunteer working with community, youth, and children’s organizations including the Burbank Youth Task Force, Burbank Child Care Committee, Burbank Noon Rotary, La Providencia Guild for Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Burbank Chamber of Commerce, the Los Angeles Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs and the Burbank Nonprofit Coalition.

“The Zonta Club of Burbank is thrilled to honor Shanna Warren as Woman of the Year,” said Grace Farenbaugh, President of the Zonta Club. “She has touched and improved so many lives and is a strong role model for aspiring women leaders.”
