MAGNOLIA PARK BURBANK, Calif. – Thousands of happy families ready to ring in the most wonderful time of the year will be strolling neighborhood businesses and sharing in the joys of the season at Magnolia Park District’s free community celebration, Holiday in the Park, on Friday, November 18 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
Now more than 25 years old, this traditional holiday kick-off takes place on 20 blocks of Magnolia Boulevard between Buena Vista and the city limits and on Hollywood Way between Chandler and Clark in Burbank. Area shops and restaurants, radiating good cheer and decked to the nines with holiday lights and festive music, will be hosting in-store events and handing out tasty treats and seasonal refreshments.
Participants are invited to stroll from store to store to indulge in holiday sights and sounds, enjoy street caroling, and take home fabulous gifts and prizes. There will be live community entertainment at numerous locations throughout the District, along with free photos with Santa in the UMe Federal Credit Union parking lot (3000 W Magnolia), roving choirs and tons of fun everywhere for kids.
Passports packed with more than 40 special offers and free merchant events are available on-line at www.magnoliaparkburbank.org. Once Passports are stamped at 15 locations, holders have the chance to win great prizes. Drawing is at 9:00 pm at 3000 W Magnolia. Need not be present to win.
