GreatGiftCircle.com Launch Party

Great Gift Circle officially launched its new website, GreatGiftCircle.com, on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Great Gift Circle introduced its new website at a private launch party, held at the Third and Olive Restaurant in downtown Burbank.

A ribbon-cutting for the website was conducted by the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, with chamber members, Mayor Gary Bric, and representation from State Assembly District 43 in attendance. A proclamation for Great Gift Circle from the State Assembly was presented.

The launch party also served as the first official Great Gift Circle Party, where people bring gifts that support a specific cause. The April 29th event benefited Well Suited for the Job, a local organization that provides business attire for the unemployed, to improve their image and self-esteem for job interviews.

Local dry cleaner and long-time community staple, Milt and Edie's, presented to Well Suited for the Job $1,000.00 in store credit, so job applicants can have their interview attire laundered and tailored.

Great Gift Circle was founded by Jean Rosone and Sharon Day. Ms. Day is an Emmy-nominated Costume Designer. Ms. Rosone credits include eight seasons as Costume Supervisor for Fox's 24, as well as a Primetime Emmy Award for her work on 1995's The Christmas Box. Both founders are long-time Burbank residents.

A red carpet affair followed the ribbon-cutting where Hollywood celebrities and behind-the-scene professionals came out to support their new endeavor. The launch party was hosted by Tonja Walker-Davidson, formerly "Alex" on One Life to Live. Celebrity party-goers included Lindsay Shaw of 10 Things I Hate About You, Marcus Chong of The Matrix, Tristan Rogers of General Hospital, and Navid Negheban of 24.

Several Burbank businesses sponsored the launch party by providing products and services that were used in a raffle with proceeds going to Well Suited for the Job. Among the sponsors were Dr. Stephen McNeese, Enchanted Florist, The City of Burbank's Starlight Bowl, and Doggie Avenue.

With the website launched and first official Great Gift Circle Party concluded, the site founders are taking on a country-wide tour this summer and fall, bringing Great Gift Circle parties to several cities, including Seattle,
Chicago, New York, and Atlanta.

Great Gift Circle is a sponsor of the Starlight Bowl's 2010 Summer Season.
