DOWNTOWN BURBANK, Calif. – Burbank Arts for All will present a one-night-only staging of "Celebrating Creativity 2010" at the Colony Theatre in Burbank to benefit visual and performing arts education in Burbank public schools, Saturday, October 2 at 6:00 P.M.
"Celebrating Creativity 2010" is an evening of dance, music and art featuring the acclaimed Lineage Dance Company and Burbank Unified School District students. The event begins at 6:00 P.M. with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception, silent auction and a variety of live music performed by students.
Immediately following at 7:30 P.M. on the Colony stage, Lineage Dance will present "The Brain in Motion: A Fun and Fascinating Journey into the Art of the Mind." This contemporary performance will feature original music by John Guth with choreography by Lineage Dance Artistic Director Hilary Thomas. Woven through the program will be a series of provocative stories narrated by student actors. In addition, student artists will simultaneously create -- live and on stage -- expressive paintings that explore the magic of the human mind.
Tickets are $50 each for the general public and $25 each for students, seniors and teachers (with ID). Tickets can be purchased at www.BurbankArtsforAll.org. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. Thanks to the generosity of event sponsors Woodbury University, Warner Brothers Studios and CMP Entertainment Group, all proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit arts education in Burbank schools.
