2009 Earth Day Celebration



Burbank, CA - Learn all about the city of Burbank, California’s environmental programs with hands-on activities, environmental workshops, arts and crafts, and live animals. The Earth Day celebration will take place at Burbank's Stough Canyon Nature Center on April 18th from 12-4pm.

Beginning at noon, there will be a Canyon clean-up project to help remove litter and other debris that is poluting the area. In addition, there is a family nature hike and environmental workshops scheduled.

All event attendees will receive free composters, bottled water, great prizes, and more provided by a variety of city agencies, private organizations, and local businesses. Event organizers and sponsors include: City of Burbank Public Works, Recycle Center, Community Development and Park, Recreation and Community Services Departments, Sierra Club, Southwest Herpetologist Society, Sidewalk Astronomers, IKEA, Disney, Handy Market, Hometown Buffet, Sharkey's, and others.
